What do you DO in Kindermusik?
We do a LOT of things in Kindermusik, but here is the short answer. Activities include singing, dancing, instruments such as shakers and rhythm sticks, and story time. Your child will be able to learn and explore while doing what they love best: PLAY!
Is my baby too young for Kindermusik?
Never! Babies are learning and processing information before they are even born, so why stop? Our youngest class for 1-14 month olds is specifically designed to stimulate the youngest minds with infant massage, motor planning exercises, circle dances, and nursery rhymes. The best part? The quality time you get to spend bonding with your baby and other new moms while learning all of these important skills!
What if my child is on the edge of two different age groups?
If your child is right at the edge, please contact us before registering for a class. We want to ensure that we place your child in the group that will best fit your child's physical, mental, and emotional needs. With a short conversation over the phone, or email we should be able to make the right decision!
Do you have any take-home materials?
The At-Home Materials for Kindermusik help bring the power of music into your home and your child's life forever. An integral part of every Kindermusik program, your Kindermusik@Home account includes music from class, an e-book related to the monthly theme, and on-line and printable activities for you and your child to explore together. With the help of these materials, Kindermusik does not have to be a once-a-week experience, but part of your every-day routine!
What is a Mixed Ages Class?
A Mixed Ages Kindermusik class is designed for families with multiple children in different age groups. Instead of filling up your week traveling from activity to activity, save time and money by bringing the whole family to Kindermusik!
Do I have to have an adult for every child that I bring to a Mixed Ages class?
Nope! The Mixed Ages class is very flexible. If you have a spouse, grandparent, or friend available to come to class with you, great! I always welcome extended family to participate with us, but it is not required. You will be pleasantly surprised at how quickly the whole class becomes a "family" and lends a helping hand to each other!
What if my child has special needs or delays?
Kindermusik can be a wonderful, fulfilling experience for every child. The flexible structure and pacing of each class makes it easy to adapt activities for the needs of every child. If you would like to chat before enrolling, we would be happy to talk with you about what your expectations are and help you find the perfect class!
What is ongoing enrollment?
Once you register you stay enrolled throughout the school year, until you notify us otherwise. Affordable automatic equal monthly payments save you time and are easy on the family budget. This is your best value and also includes special perks like special events/celebrations etc.
What if I have to miss a class?
No problem! As a member of our Kindermusik program, you get unlimited make-up classes with your enrollment. If you go out of town or have a doctor’s appointment, you can schedule a time in another class during the week as a make-up. It’s easy!
